About

Panagiotis Karampatzakis is an architect and acoustic consultant. In 2002 he founded Acoustic.gr, a practice that covers detail design, studies, analysis and on-site measurements in building acoustics, noise control and architectural technology.

As an architect, he can go beyond recommendations and propose construction solutions to acoustic problems. In more than twenty years he has worked for private developers and public authorities on hotels and resorts, hospitals, schools, offices, sports facilities, concert and conference halls, and places of worship.

He models spaces in 3D and writes his own prediction tools for acoustic parameters, which he uses both in practice and in research.

He also does research in acoustics, presented at national and international conferences; his papers are listed under Research. From 2013 to 2015 he was a scientific associate at the University of Minnesota.

He has taken part in research programmes of the Research Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) since 1994, and from 1998 to 2005 he was a teaching assistant in CAD drawing and architectural technology at its School of Architecture.

Approach

Every Project, Treated as Our Own

Work follows procedures that consider the project as a whole. They rest solely on international and European standards and on recognised, proven technical guidelines, and they always meet the constraints and requirements of the brief.

After completion, he insists firmly on acoustic measurements that demonstrate the requirements have been met and that the works conform to the project’s specifications.
